Engineer first
My foundation is engineering: software architecture, search and relevance, data systems, and large-scale platforms. I was a Staff Engineer at LinkedIn (2015–2017), working on systems measured in hundreds of millions of users, after engineering leadership roles at ADP and CareerBuilder. That work is reflected in patents spanning document intelligence, recommendation systems, and search.
Founder and operator
In 2017 I co-founded Knowde as CTO — the vertical technology platform for the chemical and ingredients industry — building the data, search, and commerce infrastructure for one of the world’s most complex industrial markets. Knowde has been backed by Sequoia Capital since 2020, and I serve on its board. Operating responsibility extends far beyond prototypes: customers, production systems, engineering teams, security, integration, and economics.
AI changes the equation again
Agents and generative AI are changing software economics, engineering practice, workflows, and the architecture of companies themselves. My current work — TaxCreditOS and Respondit.ai — lives exactly at that edge: AI embedded in regulated, operational, real-world workflows.
Today
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, I split my time between building companies, advising executive teams, investing, and exploring what AI-native operating systems for businesses should look like.
Why “Simsar”?
Simsar stands for seem → real. Technology has value only when possibility survives contact with reality — real data, real workflows, real users, regulation, scale. Crossing that arrow is the work.
